Been a while all. Happy New Year to all. Hope the year has been good to you so far and if not I hope and pray you are showing yourself grace and taking life a day at a time and a step at a time in the right direction.
I, myself, have felt stuck, paralysed by my fears, insecurities and feelings of being an imposter- all these not conducive for creativity.
This morning I choose to push through and get back to sharing my works.
It’s not about competing with anyone, it’s about showing up and letting your light shine. Do it not for the applause or likes but because you have something to share. So this is me showing up today.
Have an amazing day and remember you are amazing and gifted and the world needs you operating in your gifts. Don’t let anyone or yourself tell you otherwise. Blessings all.

Don’t be so preoccupied with the past or the future that you miss the beauty in the present. Be fully present this year. Enjoy you and your journey, who you are becoming. “No caption today.”
This week I struggle to post as I burdened myself with not having much to say to add to the post. Got me thinking how sometimes we get bugged down with man made rules that keep us from truly being our best at whatever we do, like me struggling to share my picture because I didn’t have words to add to it. We should aim to break free from all these self imposed rules that stifle our creativity. Be free. Create and share with the world. Sharing that “incomplete or imperfect post” today is much better that hiding it and waiting for perfection.

Reflecting on my photography journey and looking through my old pictures I realise what a disservice my thoughts and fears did to my growth as a photographer. I aimed for the perfect shot with the perfect gear and hence didn’t think some of my pictures were good enough. That stifled my expression. These days and looking back at pictures like this I realise the beauty in imperfection. I realise how liberating it is to not be so scared of failing or not having the best gear or the perfect shot. Whatever it is you are doing, keep at it. Be gentle with yourself and never loose your passion no matter what society labels you or your work. The world is waiting for your gift and if we have not learnt anything at all in this season, we sure have learnt how unpredictable this thing called life is. Make the most of now. Don’t shrink back. Share your gift, whatever it might be and at whatever stage it is at with the world. This too shall pass. Have an awesome week y’all and shine your light right where you are. You are amazing.
