Did you know Jacob was buried with Leah, not Rachel?
Not the woman he loved.
Not the one he cried for.
Not the one he labored fourteen years to have.
Leah.
In Genesis 49:29–31, when Jacob was about to die, he gave a clear instruction:
“Bury me… in the cave… where Abraham and Sarah are… Isaac and Rebekah… and there I buried Leah.”

Pause.
Rachel was his passion.
Leah was his alignment.
Rachel was the love story.
Leah was the covenant story.
Rachel had his emotions.
Leah carried the promise.
Rachel was buried on the roadside (Genesis 35:19).

Leah was laid in the ancestral grave of covenant—the lineage of God’s dealings.
And here is the mystery:
Leah was the rejected one.
The one Jacob didn’t choose.
The one he endured, not desired.
But heaven chose her.
From Leah came Judah.
From Judah came Jesus Christ.
Let that settle in your spirit—
The woman rejected by a man
became central to God’s redemptive plan.
This is where many people miss it:
We are all trying to be “Rachel”—
seen, desired, celebrated.

But God builds legacy through “Leah seasons”—
hidden places, painful processes, quiet obedience.

Jacob’s final decision was not emotional—
it was spiritual alignment.
At the end of his life,
he didn’t choose love…
he chose covenant.

And that is the gospel pattern:
God does not build His purposes on human preference.
He builds on grace and election.
So if you feel overlooked…
if you feel like second choice…
if life has not chosen you first—
hear this clearly:
God’s choice overrides man’s rejection.
You may not be preferred by people,
but you can be positioned by God.
And when God positions a man,
history is rewritten.

Because in God’s hands,
the rejected become vessels,
the unseen become pillars,
and the overlooked become eternal significance.

If you are in your Leah season—
you are not losing.
You are being written into something bigger.

LET THE WORD ABIDE IN YOU
(The Word Can Produce in You the Life You Desire)

📖TO THE BIBLE - Colossians 3:16 NKJV
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

LET’S TALK⏩
There’s something so beautiful and profound that the Lord Jesus said in John 15:7 NKJV, and it shows why you must let the Word of God dwell in you richly. He said, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” You see, it’s not just about being in Christ; His words must also live in you. That is what empowers and fortifies you against the pressures and challenges of life.

It’s just like He said in John 8:31 NKJV, “…If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.” This is about staying in the Word—living by it, practicing it, and never quitting on it. But how can His Word abide in you if you don’t know it? That’s why you’ve got to hear it, study it, meditate on it, and let it settle in your heart.

Now, here’s what happens when His Word lives in you: “…you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” The word “ask” here is from the Greek “aiteo”, meaning “to call for” or “to require.” It implies a confident demand, not begging. And “be done” comes from the Greek “ginomai”, meaning “to come into being.” So the Lord Jesus is saying, “If my words are alive in you, you can call forth what you desire, and it will come into being.” Glory to God!

This is powerful! If all things were created by the Word (John 1:1–3), and that same Word lives in you, why beg? Speak the Word! Declare what you need and want. Call it into being. Heap the Word into your spirit and you’ll keep winning in life!

THEME: YIELD TO CORRECTION

And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry... (1 Samuel 15:22-23).

The words of Samuel to King Saul reveal a powerful insight into the danger of disobedience. Saul had received clear instructions from God through the Prophet Samuel, but he chose his own course of action. Then Samuel reproved him, saying, “...to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams” (1 Samuel 15:22).

Notice that obedience takes precedence over sacrifice. God is more interested in your living out His Word, doing the Word, than in any religious gesture. Then he goes further to equate not doing what the Lord says to witchcraft, “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft....” That’s a remarkable comparison. Disobedience produces rebellion.

He continues by saying “…and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry....” Rebellion, when sustained, becomes stubbornness. And what is stubbornness? It’s the refusal to accept correction. It’s an insistence on one’s own way in disregard of godly counsel and instructions. The Bible says this is equivalent to idolatry.

That’s because in such a state, the individual exalts and sees himself as his own authority. He esteems his own opinions above God’s Word. That is self-worship, and self-worship is idolatry. When someone disobeys and insists on their own way, they enter into rebellion. If they’re corrected and still will not change, they’re stubborn. And stubbornness, according to God’s Word, is iniquity and idolatry. So, never take the corrections of the Spirit or the instructions from the Word lightly. To reject correction is to make an idol of yourself. But to humbly yield to the Word is wisdom.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the clarity and power of your Word and the transformation it brings to my life. My heart is tender and yielded to your instructions and guidance always. I esteem your voice above every other opinion or preference, and I walk in submission to your will, and I live in the liberty and joy of righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
