Documenting the Presidency: How Visual Storytellers Preserve Moments of Power and History
Today, I had the privilege of once again photographing the President, a responsibility that continues to shape my understanding of leadership through the lens. My journey in presidential coverage dates back to my early days with the Ghanaian Times, when I was first given the opportunity to photograph him during his tenure as Vice President at the Osu Castle.
Before then, I photographed the Late Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, and other several presidents at my almost 20 years profession.
Presidential photographers and videographers operate in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment. It is a field that demands sharp instinct, speed, and constant awareness. One cannot succeed as a presidential photographer without the ability to think quickly, anticipate movement, and respond to unfolding moments in real time.
