Today, we had the pleasure of working alongside our talented colleague, Hafsa Saeed, who served as Production Assistant during our documentary shoot with Charles "Stretch" Ledford, Associate Professor of Journalism at the University of Illinois College of Media, USA.
The production focuses on the lives and experiences of Kayayei (female head porters), highlighting stories of resilience, dignity, and hope through powerful visual storytelling.

Today, I am back here at the Gbewaa Palace to close a chapter that has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional journey.
Although it is sad that this long-term project documenting the reign of His Royal Majesty, the Ya-Na, is coming to an end, I choose to be grateful rather than disappointed.
For 7 years, I had the honour of leading a dedicated team in preserving history through photographs and video, capturing moments that future generations will look back on to understand this important period of the Dagbon Kingdom.

We documented not just events, but tradition, leadership, culture, and the enduring legacy of a remarkable reign.

I am deeply proud of the team I led. Their commitment, professionalism, and resilience made this work possible.

Together, we created a visual archive that will outlive all of us.

Every ending creates room for a new beginning. As this chapter closes, I look forward with hope, carrying the lessons, relationships, and memories that this remarkable journey has given me.

We at Buta Visual Agency were deeply honoured to receive an invitation from Mr. Samuel Ato Afful, CEO of Vanguard Multimedia Ltd., the newly established multimedia ltd housing NORTHCiTi tv, NORTHCiTi radio, ZOMSIMLI Radio, NORTHCiTi training center NORTHCiTi Music production studio to be among the first guests to undertake a familiarization tour of their newly established multimedia facility in Tamale.

On behalf of Buta Visual Agency, we witnessed a remarkable investment in the future of media and visual storytelling. The quality of the equipment and production facilities is truly exceptional, among the finest I have seen and demonstrates a strong commitment to innovation, professionalism, and excellence.

My heartfelt congratulations to those behind the entire Vanguard Multimedia Ltd. and the team on this significant milestone. we wish them every success as they contribute to transforming the media and communications landscape in Northern Ghana and across the country.

For the past week, we have been on a nationwide assignment documenting the impact of Merck Foundation's support for healthcare professionals across Ghana.
Through powerful video storytelling, we have captured inspiring stories from doctors, nurses, laboratory scientists, dietitians, anesthetists, embryologists, and many other dedicated health professionals who have benefited from specialized training and scholarships in Germany, India, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and other countries.
Behind every trained professional is a story of hope, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to improving healthcare. It has been an incredible journey witnessing how strategic investments in education and capacity building are transforming lives, strengthening health systems, and creating a lasting impact on communities across the country.
These are the stories that deserve to be seen, heard, and remembered.
