At The Gates released the first single of their upcoming album, the last with iconic frontman and lyricist Tomas Lindberg.

Tomas recorded the whole album in one day, before undergoing a critical operation for an illness that ultimately claimed him.

Looking forward to the album's release although it's going to be bittersweet.

Still reigning from beyond.

I still remember being in awe when I first heard "Slaughter of the Soul". As far as my taste in music goes, that album, along with Bolt Thrower's "Those Once Loyal" and Slayer's "Reign In Blood" are the epitome of the extreme sound, regardless of genres.
