“What resulted was a series of staged, black-and-white images that are playful, even a little absurd: teacups assembled in towers, saucepans arranged in precarious stacks, sculptural pillow forts, which, alongside handwritten inventories, have become the subject of her new book ‘Responds Quickly, Friendly’. “When you view belongings as extensions of identity, discarding them abruptly can feel like an aggressive act,” says the artist. “Setting up and photographing them became a physical act... a process of letting go of my childhood.” — Inès Cross

‘Responds Quickly, Friendly’ is the debut book from Dutch visual artist and photographer Marens van Leunen. The work brings together carefully constructed still life installations of her father’s belongings, taken before his apartment, where he had lived for thirty years, was sold. From coffee cups to computer screens, sofas to storage boxes, these staged photographs become playful inventories of belongings soon to be listed and uploaded, bought and sold. van Leunen’s work is a site where personal history, memory, and material culture intersect; it is both a gentle meditation on the relationship between a father and daughter and an intimate study of the significance of our daily objects and domestic interiors.

This new book by Void co-founder João Linneu creates a sensitive visual language around an experience so often shrouded in silence. Photographs unfold chronologically, as Linneu and his partner navigate the private spaces of the bedroom and bathroom, the hospital ward, and the brutal buildings in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. A diaristic record of vulnerability, the work traces the physical and emotional thresholds of pregnancy and the creative potential of collective family experience.

‘Genocídio do Yanomami’, by Claudia Andujar, considered one of the most significant voices in Brazilian photography.

‘Genocídio do Yanomami’ (Yanomami Genocide) is a major monograph by Claudia Andujar, published by Void and developed in close collaboration with Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo, Brazil). It brings together an extensive body of previously unpublished photographs made between 1971 and 1989 among the Yanomami. Originally shot in black and white, Andujar rephotographed and re-illuminated these images in 1989, revealing new angles and distortions—reshaping their meaning and urgency for that moment and the years that followed. Alongside her artistic work, Andujar co-founded the Pro-Yanomami Commission in 1978 with Yanomami leader Davi Kopenawa, a 14-year effort that led to the demarcation of Yanomami Territory in 1992. Yet the struggle continues: illegal mining and state violence persist. This book bears witness to a people whose future has been continually threatened, and whose survival remains a fierce, ongoing resistance.
