It Just Is

One of my favorite photos from a recent excursion near Lake Kremasta.
I was drawn to this composition because of the ground colour variation, the vertical and diagonal lines and the out of place lighter colour rock that Nature and gravity had place it there, as it was cut from the higher - rocky peak - above.

After The Rain

Στο Εθνικό Πάρκο Στροφυλιάς, μετά από έντονη βροχόπτωση πολλών ημερών...
Τα πάντα ήταν πλημμυρισμένα και δεν μπορέσαμε να προχωρήσουμε παρά λίγς δεκάδες μέτρα μέσα στο δάσος...
Για δύο λόγους είμαι χαρούμενος...Ο πρώτος είναι ακριβώς το γεγονός ότι δεν είδαμε ούτε ένα εκατοστό του μέρους, οπότε θα πάμε πάλι και πάλι..
Ο δεύτερος, είναι επειδή αυτή η εικόνα δεν υπάρχει σε καμία άλλη στιγμή...Μόνο μετά από τέτοια επική νεροποντή, που από ότι μας είπαν οι ντόπιοι, από το 1967 είχε να γίνει.

In a sense, I am so glad we didn't get to see almost anything, because this means we will go again and again...
From a different point of view, I am also glad, because this image doesn't exist any other day...There is no water there to make this perfect reflection...
