Rough and gentle. Mountains and coast. Sea and cliff. Different contrasts but always the same feeling:

Real Crete. Pure authenticity.

A place where the sun sinks into sea (Slide 1 and 8), where you can enjoy breathtaking views to the white mountains of Crete (slide 3 and 7) and where you can watch lonely fisher boats early morning before sunrise (Slide 5).

Ein Ort, an dem die Sonne im Meer versinkt (Folie 1), an dem man atemberaubende Ausblicke auf die Weißen Berge Kretas genießen kann (Folie 3 und 7) und an dem man am frühen Morgen vor Sonnenaufgang einsame Fischerboote beobachten kann (Folie 5).

From now on, this account will focus mainly on the southwest of Crete — one of the most authentic, wild and beautiful parts of the island.

The mountains.
The sea.
Hidden villages.
Quiet beaches.
Places that still feel untouched.

The style will remain the same: showing Crete from a different and lesser-known perspective.
And in my opinion, no region reveals the island quite like the mystical southwest of Crete.

Welcome to the Cretan mountains. Endless expanses, massive rocks and untouched nature. Areas where no roads lead, only your own legs can carry you. Areas where you won't meet anyone, but only a lonely mountain goat. “Crete is its own continent.” When you're up there, you'll understand why! The picture shows the Samaria Gorge from above. It was taken near the Kallergi Refuge, in December 2022.

☀️Sands of Sunset☀️

📷 Agios Pavlos, Crete

Secluded and mysterious. But at the same time one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Agios Pavlos can only be reached on foot or by boat. From Agia Roumeli (also not accessible by car) you walk about an hour. There are many surprises waiting for you on the beach. Finest sand, a great smelling pine forest behind it and a breathtaking cliff behind the beach. The beach's name comes from an ancient chapel located in the middle of the sand.
