My first travel of the year — and definitely a strange one. I had to wear a mask during the flights and layovers, but when I arrived in the island, it seemed like the people here didn’t care about masks at all. The masks were worn only by the elderly and waiters, and parties were still happening at night.
Since I landed during the very low season, many restaurants were closed. There were not much happening and not many tourists were around as well. I found it nice.
The city of Mykonos was like a maze of white buildings and stoney pavements. You can get lost easily in the alleys — in fact, the first time I wanted to find a particular souvlaki restaurant, I couldn’t find my way for 15 mins! 😩
