📍Γλαύκος Ποταμός

Ο Γλαύκος είναι ποταμός της Αχαΐας ο οποίος πηγάζει από το Παναχαϊκό όρος και εκβάλλει στον Πατραϊκό κόλπο στο νότιο τμήμα της Πάτρας. Το μήκος του ανέρχεται σε 26,3 χιλιόμετρα

Παλιά ο ποταμός ονομαζόταν Λεύκας, ενώ η ονομασία «Γλαύκος», σύμφωνα τόσο με τον ιστορικό Στέφανο Θωμόπουλο όσο και άλλες πηγές, είναι παραφθορά της (δηλ. Λεύκας = Λαύκος = Γλαύκος)

📍Φράγμα Πείρου - Παραπείρου

Η ονομασία Φράγμα Πείρου - Παραπείρου περιγράφει ένα μεγάλο και σημαντικό τεχνικό έργο στην Αχαΐα. Πρόκειται στην ουσία για δύο ξεχωριστά φράγματα: α) το μικρό Φράγμα Βαλματούρας και β) το εκτενές χωμάτινο Φράγμα Αστερίου με την ομώνυμη τεχνητή λίμνη να αποτελεί την τεχνητή λίμνη αυτή καθαυτήν. Η τεχνική κατασκευή του ξεκίνησε το 2006 και ολοκληρώθηκε το 2019 δρομολογώντας τις διαδικασίες πλήρωσης του ταμιευτήρα στο κύριο φράγμα. Η διαδικασία πλήρωσης του ταμιευτήρα της Τεχνητής Λίμνης Αστερίου ολοκληρώθηκε την άνοιξη του 2021.
