"My most productive days are when I move through the landscape with an attitude of acceptance—of leaving myself open to all possibilities rather than expecting to find anything in particular.

I look ahead to guide my feet over rocks and roots, but images are more likely to insinuate themselves from the edges of my view, the periphery of my perception." - Peter Dombrovskis

Supporting the campaign with this image from Monkey Mountain. The Community Enhancement Workers were out with their bags gathering garbage as part of keeping their community clean.

However, it's everyone's business to dispose of our own garbage in bins provided or keep it until we find a bin to properly dispose. Keep the place clean for our Guyana- we are a big part of the solution to the garbage crisis.

For a few years, a friend of mine has been telling me about the beauty of Monkey Mountain. He said that I had not seen beauty until I visited.

It would so happen and I am enamoured. I have fully seen the extent of this village but what I've seen so far has left me intrigued. It is a stunner. The mountains give it such an appeal together with savannah and waterfalls.

I have not sorted all my images and know it will take several posts to go through. For now, I give you a sneak peek of this village found in the North Pakaraimas, Region 8.

It is close to the Brazilian border and home to Patamona and Macushi peoples. Their language is a mix of Patamona, Macushi, English and Portuguese.
