Family shoot loading… ⏳

Result? Always worth it 😉

Consider this your reminder to get yours in the diary.

There’s a version of you who already knows what she wants.

She’s just waiting for you to stop asking, “Am I ready?” and start asking, “What if I try?”

You’ll learn. You’ll adjust. You’ll probably get a few things spectacularly wrong. 😂

But you’ll move. And sometimes, movement is all the confidence you need. 🩷

Maybe the bravest thing you can do is stop editing yourself to make other people comfortable.

Wear what you love.
Say what you think.
Try the thing.
Take up space.
Be excited. Be ambitious. Be silly. Change your mind.

You don’t need everyone to understand the woman you’re becoming.

You just need to stop being afraid of becoming her. 💕

Everyone else sees a beautiful family photo. You see everything that was happening around it.

The little mannerisms, the cuddles, the laugh you knew was coming, and all those tiny things that feel completely ordinary now but are so specific to this version of your family.

That’s the real magic of family photos – there’s always more in them than anyone else can see.

What would you want a photo of your family right now to remind you of in ten years?

Some people have a morning routine.
I have a morning requirement. ☕️😂
(Just kidding, I do have a powerful morning routine, sometimes it includes 2 coffees 🤭 anyway...)

Before coffee: please manage your expectations.
After coffee: ambitious founder, mother of four, ready to take on the world.

It’s called balance. 😌☕️

I was listening to Emma Grede’s podcast with Arthur Brooks this week and something really stayed with me.

They were talking about happiness.

Not the “everything is wonderful all the time” kind.

The deeper kind.

Family. Relationships. Purpose. Meaning. Doing work that feels like it contributes something.

And I suddenly thought…

This is exactly it.

Four children.
A marriage.
A business I’m incredibly ambitious about.
People I love.
Work that means something to me.

My life is FULL.

Is it perfectly balanced? Absolutely not. 😂

But I’ve never believed happiness would come from making my life smaller or finally getting everything perfectly organised.

For me, it comes from filling it with things that matter.

And maybe that’s the superpower nobody talks about when it comes to ambitious mothers.

Motherhood gives me purpose.
Building something I believe in gives me purpose too.

They don’t have to cancel each other out.

Some days they compete for my time. Some weeks one needs much more of me than the other.

But would I want less of either?
Not for a second. 🩷

Sorry, I can’t make it. I have a very important meeting with my future LinkedIn profile picture 😉

If your current headshot has been hanging around since your last job title, hairstyle, or entire era, consider this your calendar reminder to finally update it.

Ready to schedule your own very important meeting? 📸

Being invited to photograph a family in those early days is something I’ll never take for granted.

You’re letting me into a chapter that feels enormous while you’re living it, but somehow it’s over before you’ve had a chance to properly take it all in. The tiny hands, the sleepy cuddles, the way everyone is still finding their feet together, and all those ordinary little moments happening around the edges.

Years from now, these photos will be more than beautiful pictures of your family. They’ll be a way back to what life looked and felt like when this particular chapter was just beginning.

What a privilege it is to get to preserve a little piece of it for you 💛

I think we spend so much time trying to make life better that we forget to notice how much of it already is.

The ordinary mornings.
The people we get to come home to.
The conversations that make us laugh.
The work we once hoped we’d have.
The little hands that won’t always be little.
The trips, the dinners, the walks, the coffee, the chaos. 🤭

So much of what feels completely normal today was once something we hoped for.

And yes, keep dreaming. Keep building. Keep wanting more for yourself and your life.

But every now and then, look around.

You might already be standing in the middle of some of the days you’ll miss the most.

Maybe a good life isn’t only something we’re creating.

Maybe it’s something we need to get better at noticing. 🩷

“How do you manage it all?”
Excellent question. 😂

Currently with a combination of:
☕️ coffee
📅 a calendar I obey like it’s legally binding
👯‍♀️ an incredible team
📝 approximately 47 lists
🏃‍♀️ moving at a speed that suggests I’m permanently late
🧠 occasionally walking into a room and forgetting why
…and carrying enough bags to suggest I’ve left home permanently.

This has officially been the busiest season JLP has EVER had.

More schools. Bigger opportunities. More decisions. More moving parts. More growth than I think any of us quite expected.

But it’s exciting. It’s slightly chaotic. It’s something we’ve worked towards for YEARS.

So when people ask how I’m managing it all… Some days, extremely well.
Some days, with three bags, a coffee and absolutely no idea where I left my phone.

Both count. 😂🩷
