People ask, why food photography? Well, we all grow up with different influences. My mom's Australian Women's Weekly recipe books kept me constantly intrigued as a child. My mother is as meticulate as the food she serves on the table. Growing up, I liked reading and I also liked seeing, and my eye poured over these beautiful visuals in the 90s created by traditional food stylists and photographers. I'll never forget the recipe book Traditional French Dining. Now that I get to create visuals that once inspired me, it is always an honour to look back at my very first inspirations, still sitting on the bookshelf at home.
