Warning: I shed some tears in this video.

A lot of times, I catch myself thinking, “I’m just a photographer.”

But then I remember that many families don’t just book me once. They become part of my story and my life year after year. And that means so much to me. For the most part, my work brings joy (well I hope it does). And then there are also families who needed photographs more than I could ever know. The ones who held onto these moments because time became precious in ways they never expected.

Time is a thief. We don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow. Chronicling these memories is so special.

It’s not just the photos. It’s when I can make children feel loved and seen. When I make Mom and Dad feel understood and celebrated. In my own way.

That’s where the fulfillment lies. 💛

I used to think taking the photos was enough. Like as long as they lived somewhere in my camera roll, they were safe… kept… remembered.

But the truth is, we don’t really go back to them as often as we think we will. And there’s something different—so different—about holding a memory in your hands. Flipping through it slowly. Seeing moments next to each other that tell a story you didn’t even realize you were living at the time.

These photobooks became my way of making sure the “everyday” doesn’t just pass by unnoticed.

Because some memories deserve more than just staying on your phone.

If you’ve been meaning to create one, I made my photojournal template available on the shop 🤍 (Link in bio!)

To every mom who hesitated before stepping in front of the camera — I’m glad you did.

Your kids won’t remember the weight, the tired eyes, or the hair that wasn’t cooperating. They’ll remember you were there.
I see you. 🤍

Happy Mother’s Day.

Nobody warned me that photographing families would hit this different. But after years of being in those moments with people — here’s what they always end up loving instead:

1. The location they almost didn’t pick.

Their couch, their kitchen, that one park they go to every weekend. The places they actually live in? Those always tell the best stories.

2. The mess they wanted to hide.

Toys everywhere, wind-blown hair, a dress all crumpled up from too many hugs — I keep all of it. That’s not imperfect, that’s real life. And real life is beautiful.

3. The moments they didn’t even notice.

The spontaneous giggle, the tired kid who just needs a cuddle, the quiet little lulls — those are the ones they look back on and cry over. Every single time.

4. The feeling in the room.

No pose, no outfit, no filter can replicate what it looks like when people are genuinely, fully, happily together. That energy? The camera always catches it. 🤍

And that’s exactly why I do what I do. Because 20 years from now, I want you to look at your photos and feel everything — not just see it.

If that’s the kind of session you’re looking for, let’s make it happen. 🤍

April was a month of transitions.

I turned another year older—and honestly, it felt good. I wish it was in a “I have it all figured out” way, but I am happy with the “I’m okay with where I am” kind of way. Grateful for the life I’m building, the family I have, the work that fills me.

This was also the month I closed my physical studio. It felt bittersweet—saying goodbye to the Nest. It has held so many memories, so many beginnings, so many seasons.

But it also felt right. Like making room for what’s next.

I’ve been exploring more outdoor and home shoots lately, and it’s been so refreshing. There’s something about natural light, open spaces, and unscripted moments that feels more me right now. It’s pushed me creatively in ways I didn’t expect.

April taught me that letting go doesn’t mean losing. Sometimes it’s just making space for growth. For change. For the next chapter.

Here’s to new beginnings. 💛
