It’s been quite a start to the year… my thanks to IHG for affording me the opportunity to get to know China even better. 5 Cities, 5 Hotels, 5 amazing Lifestyle shoots. The works are in all in post now, so we’ll have to wait a little while before I can share these, but I can post a few wrap team photos from the Intercons at Lijiang, Xian, Shenzhen, plus the WM HK, apologies to all on the Regent on the Bund Shanghai shoot, seems we missed getting that team shot. Thanks to everyone on this epic journey thru China, especially Susan and Heather from Brand, producer Michelle from Niffler and Blow Up stalwarts, Liz and Jo for the unstinting support.

Whilst we’re editing our latest instalment featuring Sudhee Liao, I’ll post a few images from the early years of the dance project most of which predate this IG page. Here’s the very first image we shot of what was to become Bodies in Motion, Bodies at Rest, with Butoh performer Wilson Chik.

Will be recceing a lot of places for upcoming Bodies in motion shoots over the coming weeks. Todays location involved a walk up a steep hill to an abandoned observation post. In the far distance, over the closed border, lies the gleaming city of Shenzhen. Much more difficult for me to enter now than at any time in my 25 years in HK.

Have started the process of searching for some new locations for “Bodies in motion”. Have quite a few in mind…. Some old, some new, some urban, some rural…. And as much as I’m looking for inspirational locations, am always looking for dance collaborators to participate as well. If you’d like to take part drop me a message!
