Wandering through the streets of Hong Kong always feels like stepping into a 90‘s film.
Yau Ma Tei, with its iconic fruit market and timeless atmosphere, holds a unique cinematic charm.

Years later, I reunited with Terrence for another shoot in Tokyo. We’ve both evolved in our own ways — just like the city.
This time, I tried to capture him as a character from a movie.
What role he was playing… perhaps we each have our own interpretation.

Kōichi Imaizumi is best known for his impactful films such as Kazoku Complete/家族コンプリート/完全家族 (2010), Hatsu-koi (2007).

His work has deeply influenced and inspired the LGBTQ+ community, leaving an indelible mark on many lives. For this portrait, I chose a subtle, yellowed-white tone to reflect the richness and resilience of his life experiences. It was truly an honor to capture this personal moment and document an important chapter of his remarkable journey.
