Tiny, vivid, and endlessly strange — these are the nudibranches.
Each slide shows a different species, each evolved for a specific diet, depth, and display:
1: Cratena peregrina – the explorer. Feeds on hydroids and wears their stinging cells like borrowed armor.
2: Flabellina ischitana – a Mediterranean gem, often found on rocky reefs where current meets light.
3: Flabellina affinis – the classic violet nudibranch, a master of contrast and color.
