Someone asked me : what I think about the fact
that Speed didn’t visit Haiti during his Caribbean tour!
The truth is, it would’ve been great exposure for the country because Haiti has so much beauty, culture, energy, and positive stories to share with the world. The man is welcome whenever he feels like visiting in the future. But at the same time, we can’t keep waiting for foreigners to validate us or tell our story for us.
If 50,000 Haitians from the diaspora come back home this summer and create content showing the real Haiti to the world, the impact would be far greater than the visit of any influencer.
As for me, starting this weekend, I’ll be enjoying the summer coast to coast, Barbancourt in hand, surrounded by good friends, beautiful women, music, beaches... With or without anyone, I’ll continue giving people even more reasons to visit Haiti. 🇭🇹
