Flexline is now FlexShooter

We present you our new brand name, FlexShooter. This reflects our growing product range that encompasses more photographic accessories, we think it's a great new name. Now it will take time to make new videos and change everything on the website so please bear with us. It is a new name but it's still the same innovative and cool range of products.

At Flexline we value all of our clients and so we are going to start a Community section on here where we highlight some great work taken with Flexline kit.

So first up is Nigelbee and this wonderful image below. In his words " I set up and tried my brand new Flexline Pro head with a Canon 1DX and Canon 500mm lens in the garden yesterday evening almost as soon as it arrived. That's one of my usual kit combinations but this morning I fancied a spot of landscape photography using a Canon 5D MkII and a Canon 16mm – 35mm lens. The camera has been modified to be infrared sensitive. I went to the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust's London Wetland Centre, one of my local patches, mounted the camera directly onto the head using the supplied plate and got to work. This is one of the photographs. It's actually a three image panorama stitched in Photoshop. Apart from wanting to try the Pro with a camera mounted directly, I wanted to try its panning for panos. I am delighted with the head's first outing. Next time, I think it will be with my 1DX and either a 500mm or 600mm. I'm looking forward to it!"

Editor's Comment - It's a lovely atmospheric image with strong composition that is really pleasing to the eye.

You can check out some more of Nigel's work and show him some 😍 by taking a look at his Fickr site here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/nigelbewley/

**************Important Please Read*******************

We are sorry that we have been quiet lately across all out social channels, as you will see below there was a good reason for it. Once this statement is out of the way we will start posting some cool product videos again, as we sincerely believe our heads are the best solution available right now. So have a read and that will be the end of that! Tell the world we are back!

This statement is a one off and hopefully will clear up all the rumours surrounding our product so we can concentrate on bringing our patented technology to benefit discerning photographers worldwide. In October last year we launched a patented range of spring loaded ball-heads. Despite our inventor, Csaba Karai, owning the patent No. P1300738 titled HEAD ASSEMBLY FOR SUPPORTING AND ADJUSTING THE POSITION OF AN OPTICAL OR ELECTRONIC DEVICE, a legal challenge was raised against him, attacking his inventorship. To establish the truth beyond doubt, Csaba Karai fought this challenge by presenting technical documents and recently the Court of Second Instance upheld the initial findings of the Court of First Instance that our inventor Csaba Karai is inventor of the patent No. P1300738.

Our product is genuine, it is not a copy. The rumour that Csaba Karai was an employee of the previous company was false (and was in fact one of the inventors) and that the patented technology within it is both new and innovative. Therefore we have every right to sell it without detrimental comments and statements being made on social media or elsewhere.

Since the initial launch our products have sold very well despite the negative publicity and our clients now can see that they offer wonderful functionality that benefits their photography everyday. If you care about stability and flexibility, plus want to avoid having to lock up your head every time your lens comes to a rest, then our Flexline heads and custom designed accessories are solutions that you need to try. It's the magic of our patented spring-loaded balance technology. That’s all we ask really, give us a try and see what a difference we make to your photographic world. Then you will see the Flexline advantage.

We would like to assure all of our customers that we will always act in a professional manner and will never resort to say anything misleading about competitive products.

We will continue to deliver new and innovative solutions to give photographers the best stability that we believe is currently available anywhere.

I showed a portrait of us with Mountain Hares, here is one of the images we shot. It was very challenging conditions with a very strong wind creating a blizzard. The FlexLine Pro head worked great, allowing me to quickly set the horizon with very cold hands on the main ball. I could then use my 200-400mm perfectly balanced ( i took this instead of the 100-400 on the second day on the mountains) without the need to lockup the head, which I would have trouble doing with such cold fingers. Removing the need to lockup the head in such conditions allows me to shoot freely and without compromise, no more missed shots and opportunities. You will never regret owning a FlexLine head!

Here's a dodgy selfie of us in a Scottish blizzard whilst filming Mountain Hares. Usually I would take a much sturdier tripod with me for such conditions but I couldn't be bothered to carry it up the mountain!!!!! Again you can see the Pro here doing what it does best, shooting level video whilst at an angle and doing so whilst not locked up.

I used the Flexline Pro Head to shoot the Supermoon whilst working at Lake Kerkini with Dalmatian Pelicans. The head was great as once I'd levelled it up I just applied a little tension to the second ball and I was ready. The tension was enough to hold the head firmly in place when I was shooting long exposures yet light enough so I could move it and change the composition without unlocking it.

Another good day with a great head!
