Timea Göghova is enjoying Albert Eduard s solo in Budapest. It was a great experiemce being on tour, on the road. It was just a Mini tour of four days, 4 cities, 4 gigs and than sitting in the bandbus in between to the next location. The lovely thing is not just reaching your destination, but in fact being on the road. 😊
Do you also love being on the road?

On the 23rd of February our path lead to S8 Underground Club where we witnessed one of the most amazing auditions so far. Still Awake gave the most energetic and joyful concert you can imagine. Timea Göghova's voice is simply incredible and the band is super passionate. And they are also super friendly! It's was a true pleasure seeing and listening to them, don't miss their performance if they're playing near you!!

Hello Everyone! In the past few months I had to stay away from music photography due to a few obstacles which seem to slowly lifting lately. I don't know what's up with you guys but sometimes being a creative or artist or whatever it is called nowadays is way more harder than you'd think in the beginning. I mean creating art is like entering a door into an alternate universe of wonders and imagination - which is pretty hard to reconcile with everyday life which is fundamentally materialistic and full of tyring repetitive tasks and annoying distractions which kill creativity in itself. I guess this conflict is part of the process -I'm only asking why it has to be this painful?!

Anyway, however I didn't take part in music photography recently I did shoot a lot in past few months. Mostly around my hometown where this album was shot. On the 18th of January, when I got to know that it was going to be an extra misty day I immediately decided to take a one day break off everyday life. I departed on my bike with no exact intention of what did I want to shoot, I had a hope that my subject was going to find me. And so it did. As I reached for my favourite location on the edge of town a vast misty lanscape appeared before my eyes. It overwhelmed me. The silent white athmosphere of the place felt like I was in a timeless corner of the universe. It was calm, it was serene. It gave me a peaceful feeling so I started walking in it. I set my mind to be an accepting observer and not to force anything. Not to want to photograph everything but the scenes that call me and walk only until it felt good. After shooting mostly wider angle pics I slowly took over the athmosphere of the place and started to take shots of smaller details. The walk was an experience of presence, self-identity and unity with my environment.

Arriving home I had only a few minutes to capture the mesmerising sunset with its vivid colors. But I already knew then that I was going to take a walk in the night as well. The mist was still on and I was curious how it's going to be like in the night. So a few hours later I departed again and headed to the lake nearby which we visited quite a lot in past few years. As I walked there I continued what I started in the morning and took shots with the intention of documenting the athmosphere of a misty day. By this time my initial indecision flew away and the purpose of the photos began to evolve. It was going to be a tale of a misty day told through the medium of impressionistic photographs - I thought. I became more and more confident of what did I want to document. I did not want to document anything specific but how it felt. I wanted to document the feeling a scene creates.

This day was a day of true art. A journey through doubts and tiredness to final purification. These photographs are not only a document of a bike trip and a long walk in the night but also a document of a day spent thinking and aligning with the self. I hope some of you will find a pic or two that starts a thought or a feeling in you too!

Ps. I was wondering if this album fitted here because I only posted my music photos earlier but finally I decided to upload it because I'd like to show you all aspects of my photography. Hope you'll like them!!

Pps. Slowly will return to music photography!!! Need a little more time though!!

Cheers,
Móni

Saturday night joy music powered by Meteora, Isatha and HorsePower. It was a real adventure taking photos at Analog Music Hall again, can't wait for the next ride. Originally I went to the show to see Meteora again - I saw them live a few weeks earlier and their performance really captured me. And this is what happened to me this time... their show was a true flow experience - I trust that I managed to convey this feeling with the photos.

Before Meteora Isatha enchanted us with their beautifully powerful folk melodies. Seeing their joy and harmony as they perform was something I really needed on a dark november night.

Warming up the stage for Meteora an Isatha Horsepower provided a truly dirty rock'n'roll experience. Their intense and spicy music could really pull me out of dull weekdays.

All in all the show was a pretty vivid experience. After a few hard days it finally put me in place and for that I am immensely grateful for the bands.
