WINDOW SHOPPING

— this project was made throughout the quarantine in Budapest, Hungary in 2O2O with a single iPhone 7 Plus (no other equipment has been used).

THE STORY BEHIND THE SERIES
the collage mostly depends on the mannequins as subjects which can be found almost in all the retail stores.the message of the project primarily contains many threads: emotions during quarantine, what the lack of the so-called shopping-experience makes us feel, while on the other hand, it is all about the city that “sleeps and thinks”.mannequins took over the city with their new fashion ideasthat no one can see, other than them. just yet.“the streets are theirs”.not just during quarantine, but also at every night.the series also would like to represent that shopping is not just about spending money, and window shopping is not just about crawling towards things you cannot have.it is about the feeling, the hipotesis, the thought that it is not always us, or the models you would see on pictures or the people behind the designs they [mannequins] wear — the ones who actually make us want to buy something. it is that these mannequins have thoughts and messages that they are trying to send us every time we go out shopping.they do not just want to sell the clothes they are wearing but the feeling as well, that you would feel once you put them on. the confidence. the self love. the motivation. the happiness. it is much more than just buying clothes.
