The highest village in Azerbaijan at 2350m, perched on a steep hill with spectacular views. The main business in Xinaliq is sheep farming, and they have their own language called Ketch.

Atacama desert, Chile.
It was cold in the tent and I couldn't sleep, so I got up to see if the sky had cleared. I was met by a breathtaking sky full of stars. I've never really tried photographing stars before; without a proper tripod it was a bit of trial and error balancing the camera on rocks. I stayed out mesmerised until I couldn't feel my hands any more.
