Stepping back in time at the annual Gyulai Végvári Napok in Gyula, Hungary.

Every year, at the end of July, the town of Gyula in Hungary hosts the Gyulai Végvári Napok (Border Fortress Days)

This historical festival commemorates the 1566 Siege of Gyula Castle, with hundreds of reenactors, authentic costumes, medieval camps, traditional crafts, and living history displays that transform the castle into a scene from the 16th century.

These are some of my favourite moments from this year's event.

📸Capturing real moments… the kind that pass in a heartbeat, but deserve to be remembered forever.

Watching this beautiful mum with her boys laugh, cuddle, run around and simply be together reminded me why photographs matter so much. Life moves fast, children grow quietly overnight, and one day these little moments become the memories we hold closest.

These photos are more than pictures, they are pieces of their story. A reminder of love, strength, chaos, connection, and the beautiful bond between family🖇️
Later, having their cousins join in made it even more special — real smiles, real emotions, real memories frozen in time.

I feel incredibly grateful for the trust families place in me to capture these raw and honest moments. Knowing these images will one day be treasured by their children means everything.
