And the path unfolds...These past few months, I received acceptances from four of the best architecture schools in the world.
I am now engulfed in a multitude of emotions, as this has been a dream of mine ever since I was inspired by my undergraduate professor and an UCL alumnus, Pak Agustinus Sutanto. Since those early days, I have realized that the more we know, the more we feel like we know nothing at all. I hope this next step leads to a deep discovery of the direction that now feels deeply meaningful to me: bridging architecture, science, nature, and people.
Every acceptance felt surreal. Excitement certainly. Gratitude, definitely. But most importantly, I am reminded to keep my dreams alive and to always chase them with discipline and consistency. And I owe a massive thank you to those who carried me here:
To my mom, dad, and : Thank you for believing in every decision I've made. You stayed by my side during the hardest moments, making sacrifices I can't even count and praying for me to win in life. You are my favorite people and the ones I love the most.
To my mentor, Mas Kamil : every experience and guidance during my time at has defined the architectural direction I want to pursue, specifically in ecological regeneration, landscape as infrastructure, multispecies cohabitation, and community-based design. Thank you for giving me the tools to find my voice and build a portfolio I'm proud of.
To and : My thought partners when I doubted myself the most, thank you for reviewing my letters and my thoughts. And to my second family: , .mikha , , , , , , who will always be my greatest treasure in life. This journey only matters because the friendship was so good they had to nerf us with long distance.
Of course there are still many things to consider, but I am very excited to embark on this new chapter of my life where I can stand at the intersection of great minds and disciplines, synthesizing knowledge into a holistic idea to enrich the architecture community and beyond.
