Indonesia 💙
Exploring here never gets old.
Tips for Nusa Penida:
1. Angel Billabong Fast Ferry has been super reliable and safe. The past few sinking of fast ferries has been horrific.
2. Rent a Nmax scooter. The roads are bad and you want a scooter with descent suspension.
3. Accommodation is a hit and miss. Make sure you check the ratings for your budget.
4. Be aware that Nusa Penida is more alive than the normal areas of Bali. Snakes on your bike, huge spiders and dinosaur looking lizards are around but don’t let it deter you.
5. Favorite activities - Diamond beach is super beautiful and worth visiting. The hike down is a mission. Pack light to be agile on your feet.
Kelingking is super beautiful from above. There is a sunset spot right at the top hardly anyone goes to, costs 5k per person and is amazing for sunset.
Manta point and Manta Bay are the best for snorkelling with mantas. Be sure to rent your own boat and go super early to miss the crowds. Also don’t go after a day of heavy rain or there may be trash and jelly fish (warning you now)
Try to do all your missions in the morning and evening. 1100 to 1400 is super hot! Find a cool cafe to hang at during this period.
My favorite is the Wyns Penida Cafe near the place the ferries arrive.
Happy travelling!
