So this was one that I didn't even notice until I took the pictures and then looked at them afterwards. There is a HUGE parasite just below the waspfish's eye. If anyone can explain how or why it's there I am all ears!

Sometimes you've got to get extra close to figure out what's going on. These little decorator crabs have clipped off a piece of coral and are holding it above their heads to help blend in with the corals. Not sure if it's working but it's pretty cute! 😁⠀⠀⠀

Quite a few of my students are nervous when it's our first dive and we look at the dive sites of the day and it says "Shark Point". Sharks are one of the most beautiful and important fish on our reefs. If you show them respect then they will show it back. There's no reason for the irrational fear that they are dangerous or "out to get you". I hope all of you get the chance to hang out with these guys in the wild one day!!

Have you ever been shot by a waterjet from an octopus!? This big guy was very confident and hanging out above the reef. He was right above an anemone with a few clownfish in it so I was waiting to see if he was going to grab one 😆. Then when I got close he shot the camera with a jet of water and scared me half to death!! You win this round Mr octopus!
