I mentioned I was going to Malaysia in my last post. And yes, I went there from 23rd June until 2nd July, on a vacation trip. The whole itinerary was Medan - Kuala Lumpur - Langkawi - Genting - Redang - Medan. Kuala Lumpur (shortened to KL usually), the capital of Malaysia, is the biggest and most populous city in Malaysia. Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah is an archipelago off the mainland coast in northwestern Malaysia, adjacent to Thailand border. The largest island, called Langkawi island, is the only inhabited island along the smaller Tuba island. Langkawi is just recently booming in tourism. Genting Highlands is an integrated resort located just outside KL on a mountain peak within Titiwangsa Mountains. It contains various hotels and resorts, theme parks, plazas and the only legalized casino in Malaysia. It is almost always crowded, day or night. If you think you have some luck, try the casino. Security is strict. No underage and cameras allowed inside. If the guards deem you are too young, they will demand an ID card to prove you are over 21.

Behold, this is the last destination of my 10-days Malaysia trip. Yep, the famous Redang Island (along with the checkpoint city of Kuala Terengganu). Some of you should know Redang Island from a Hong Kong film titled Summer Holiday, starring Richie Ren, Sammi Cheng, Ah Niu, and Guang Liang. The whole film was shot primarily at Redang island beach where now Laguna Redang Resort stood. [ 50 more words. ]
