A few more from the Saltwater People series 🌊

Still showing as a pop up exhibited at Greenmount Surf Club in Coolangatta as part of the Flotsam Festival and reconciliation week.

The exhibition shares stories of Indigenous saltwater people across Bundjalung Country, including the story of Elder Barnie Curry, who worked as a shark spotter at Greenmount Beach in the 1940s, alongside his descendants Adam and Nate who are featured in the series today.

Really honoured to have been able to contribute the photography to this project, directed by First Nations Lifeguards and director Brook Silvester

A little light for this slightly gloomy Monday ✨

I can still remember the immense amount of gratitude I felt morning swimming out. We’d just made it to in time for sunrise and I was so excited with the light, waves and the big shrub covered rock. Local Sri Lankan’s tell a story of a secret underground tunnel, connecting the island to the mainline

The reef here was super shallow and I got a little scratched up but was so worth it.
