Taking a Break: Another "alleyscape" today with a waiter taking a breather at the backdoor to a restaurant in Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island. Not the most scenic of spots to be doing that, but it worked for me ;-)

Last post was looking down, now looking up from inside the cityscape. This and the next photo were taken in a narrow space between buildings right in Central district on Hong Kong Island. Despite being seemingly in the shade, there is no relief here from the summer heat.

Being up in the hills above Hong Kong Island never bores...and even better when the clouds come down to play...

Before dawn on the first morning of Galungan festival on Bali. In this tiny village under the volcano, people start taking their offerings to the Hindu temples to make offerings to welcome and honor their ancestral spirits.
In the gloom you can see Penjor, ceremonial poles that are set up along the roadside to celebrate the festival.
