The other side of Christmas is slowly coming together...

No rich reds this time.

Think soft whites, warm creams, little touches of gold and plenty of greenery. Completely different from my first Christmas setup, but just as magical in its own way.

I’m still choosing the little details, moving things around and figuring out exactly where everything belongs... so you’re not getting the full reveal just yet.

This is my living room.

Yep. My living room.

It’s also where I’ve built my little photography studio and where I get to create beautiful memories for families every week.

And honestly? I think it proves something important: you don’t need a huge, fancy commercial studio to create amazing photographs.

You need good light, the right setup, a little creativity and, most importantly, a photographer who knows how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera.

So yes, my studio is part of my home. And I wouldn’t change that.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about the size of the studio.

It’s about the memories we create in it.

Not every newborn photo needs to be perfectly posed.

Sometimes it’s the way they curl into you.
The tiny hand gripping your finger.
Dad trying to settle them.
Big brother getting a little too close.
A feed, a cuddle, a sleepy little yawn.

These are the moments that actually feel like having a newborn.

My natural newborn sessions in Cavan are relaxed, baby-led and completely unposed. No forcing baby into positions. No pressure to make everything look perfect.

Just you, your baby, and this little chapter exactly as it is.

Because one day, you’ll miss how tiny they were.

While the reds are going to be rich, deep and full of that classic Christmas warmth… the second setup is going in a completely different direction...

This one is my little secret for now.

I’m still choosing the details, moving things around and figuring out exactly how I want it to feel. No red ribbons, no pinks — just beautiful natural greens paired with white and those soft, warm neutral tones.

It’s still very much a work in progress, and I don’t want to give too much away just yet.

Two Christmas setups. Two completely different moods.

And this one… you’ll have to wait a little longer to see.

It doesn’t look like much just yet…

A few branches, an empty studio, deep reds starting to appear… and a LOT of ideas still living in my head.

But this is where Christmas 2026 begins.

This year I keep coming back to those rich, warm Christmas reds. Deep burgundy, velvet tones, beautiful greenery and all those little details that make a Christmas set feel magical before anyone even steps in front of the camera.

Right now, you’re only seeing tiny pieces of it. A branch here, an ornament there, colours being tested and ideas slowly coming together.

There are two completely different setups planned this year, and next week I finally start bringing them to life.

So for now… trust the process.

This is only the very beginning.

🎂 ONE looks pretty good on them…

The first birthday deserves a little more than a phone picture of them eating cake. 🤍

Cake Smash sessions are all about capturing that little personality that has somehow grown SO much in one year.

We start with beautiful portraits while everything is still nice and clean… then out comes the cake and we let your little one take it from there. 😂

Some babies delicately taste the icing.
Some absolutely DESTROY the cake.
Some aren't interested in the cake at all.
And honestly? Those are usually the funniest photographs. 😂🎂

And after all that smashing and mess, we finish with a little splash. 🛁✨

Just a little Christmas update… because apparently I’ve decided one set-up might not be enough this year. 😂🎄

Christmas preparations are very much still a work in progress, but everything is slowly coming together behind the scenes! ✨

And there might just be TWO Christmas set-ups this year… 👀❤️ Because why make life easy for myself, right? 😂

I’m still playing around with ideas, changing things, adding things, probably taking things away again… so nothing is completely set in stone just yet. But I promise, the finished set-ups are coming very soon! 🎄✨

For now, think rich Christmas colours, cosy details and a little bit of magic. ❤️🌲

Unwrapping a brand new red backdrop in the studio today ❤️ and doing a little bit of Christmas prep while I’m at it 🎄

I know, I know… it’s only August 😂 but these things take time! Slowly starting to bring all the little ideas I have in my head to life.
