This magical handfasting photoshoot in Glengarrif was such an amazing experience. I loved photographing this special event is such a wonderfull place.

Paulina Tattoo and Michael choose to celebrate their wedding with a handfasting ritual in the middle of the woods.

This place couldn't have been more magical on this stunning day. And I still can't get over that beautiful dress😱🥰

Even though this was my first time photographing a handfasting ritual (or even seeing one), it was so much fun to do. Paulina and Michael were the best couple to have in front of my lens.

Hope the photos will give them nice memories to look back at.

Puppies are just the cutest to have in front of my lens 🥹 They are so full of energy and new to the world.

Some of them might try to eat your hands and shoelaces in the process 😅🤣

A photoshoot with your puppy is also one of the most valuable photoshoot you can think off. They are only this small for a little while, and the photos will be an ever lasting memory.

More perfect would be to have your puppy photographed twice in the first year to see how they develop. 🐾

So I am thinking about making a special puppy package with 2 photoshoots in the first year.

So many pretty doggies in front of my lens this year and many more to come in the fall season.

Each of them their own unique karakter, but all looking for cuddles from the person holding the camera 🤣🤣

When you are lucky enough you don't have to travel a long time to be in a stunning location, a simple walk is all it takes for some photography inspiration in Golden Hour.

Last weekend we took our dogs Abbey and Ember up to the cliffs. A sight which never gets boring, but the sky was particulair beautiful this time.

It just shows me that a stunning location at Golden Hour is just what you need for a family or pet photoshoot. 📸🌞

For those who are wondering, no my Spaniel Ember is not sitting in top of a cliff by herself but is safely secured on a lead which is not visible in the photos.

And my Jack Russell Abbey does not like modeling so much. She prefers to protect our stuff and have an extra sleep 😅

One couple photoshoot, three different styles.

A simple outfit change and a change of scenery, not 5 minutes appart, can make all the difference in your photos.

This is why a choice of location and clothing is so important when it comes to a photoshoot.

When you book a longer photoshoot you can even choose to visit different locations close to each other.

Photography doesn't stop after pressing the button on your camera. 📸 Neither does it start there.

Before you take a photo you

✨️ pick the time of day for the best lighting even if that is at 5 am in the morning 😇
✨️ you check out the location and the weather of the day and adjust your settings accordingly
✨️ you often make the photo a bit darker to avoid a blow out sky 🌞
✨️ Then you hope you can get everyone relaxed at the photos

And even after a photoshoot, which can take between 1 or 2 hours, I haven't finished. A big part is only just beginning.

As I have to

🍀 upload the photos to my laptop
🍀 pick the best ones out of hundreds of photos
🍀 show them to the cliënt and let them pick their favorites
🍀 give the picked photos their fine art editing to turn each photo into a little art piece

All of the pretty pictures you see on social media are made with a lot of learning, skill, editing( and don't forget about the expensive equipment 😅)

Then I haven't even mentioned the sitting/laying in water, dirt, mud etc for the glamoureuze photographers lifestyle😂😅

Luckily it is worth it!

An early morning photoshoot with a lady and her horse at Red Strand who is also willing to go into the sea 😍 pure magic!

This Cob was fully enjoying all her extra attention, but had her doubts about going so early😅

I loved doing this photoshoot. Not be because I could get my feet wet again, but because it can be such a priviledge to provide a special time for an owner and her horse.
