Wednesday Night’s Waning Crescent Moon between the Poolbeg Chimneys.

It doesn't always go to plan! I originally headed out to capture the moon rising perfectly over The Baily Lighthouse in Howth. But a last-minute realisation that my math was wrong and I was in the wrong spot meant a sudden change of plan.

A quick divert led me to rely on an old faithful. The ever-iconic Dublin landmark, the Chimneys, saved the night

Twilight at High Rock with a hint of NLCs.

Last night I headed out to Portmarnock and was greeted by the most amazing twilight summer glow in the sky. To my delight, there was a subtle hint of Noctilucent Clouds (NLCs) high in the atmosphere.

Have you ever seen them? They are the highest clouds in Earth's atmosphere, forming right on the edge of space. They shimmer like silk on summer nights if you're lucky enough to catch them.

We are incredibly proud to support the historic 96th Island Race in Howth today!

As swimmers from Leinster Open Sea Swimming take on the 2.1km challenge from Ireland’s Eye to Claremont Beach, these two beautifully framed prints of Howth and Ireland's Eye will be waiting at the finish line for today's winners.

Another from Sunday evenings moonrise behind the Our Lady, Star of the Sea statue in Clontarf, Dublin. The cloud may have hampered the low alignment with Poolbeg, but it popped up just in the nick of time!

For the nerds, this is a focus stack of 2 images taken at the same time, one focused for the moon and the second on the statue and combined in Photoshop.
