Iv only been out a few times this year, but I got a chance to climb Nohoval Cove back in January. This is a five shot 35mm Panoramic. 5 Sec F/10 ISO125. Hoping to try this angle for a Milky Way Shot if I get the chance.

I had to rush to take this photo as farmers will be harvesting their crop quickly this summer, so I rushed out last night before the moon rose to capture the Milky Way shining over an old Farm house at the Old Head of Kinsale.

Rocky Bay is a place where I go to test new gear or to try out a new technique. On this occasion it was to perfect my tracking skills at F/4 and ISO 400. Getting the most from Canon's big sensor 5DSR body at low iso's is only achievable with the tracker.
Some of my first Astro work was here 5 years ago and only as a hobbiest photographer getting this image was a proud moment in my path to getting an image I could truly portray as I wanted to.

I dedicate this image to all Astophotography enthusiasts, enjoy the fun and wonder of being under the stars, I know I do :)

"An Gaoire" A submerged glacial woodland and nature reserve in County Cork, Ireland.
It was until recently densely populated with ancient oak trees and the last surviving full oak forest in western Europe. Flooded in 1954 to for two hydro-electric dams in Carrigadrohid and Inniscarra. Here silt is seen resting behind an old wall behing the main river.

Snowy Nohoval Cove.
I had come to the entrance of Nohoval Cove the day before but at 17.30 to find 2 metre snow drifts blocking the road down so it being so late I returned the next day to trek the 3km down to see if any snow had been left, Sadly this is all that was left covering the Rennies but an experiance non the less.

Milky Way over Man O'War Cove. My first Milky Way this year and a great one to capture at a place iv visited for my whole life learning to fish, hunt and swim. At low tide you can find pearl mussels and oysters galore. Captured with the Skywatcher mini allowing me to use F/3.5 iso 320 and an exposure of 178 seconds.
