A Great Blue Heron trying to swallow a fish while an Alligator is hovering in the background waiting for an opportunity to strike. The Heron eventually spotted the Alligator and flew off with his catch to safer ground!

Happy St Patricks Day everyone ☘️☘️ Here's a green themed pic of an Alligator I met while hiking around a swamp in Merritt Island a couple of days ago. I had a bit of a nightmare yesterday as my flight home was cancelled so I unfortunately wont make it home to be with family for St Patricks Day but on a positive note I'm in a hotel editing some of the 2500 pictures I took over the last few days and I managed to get rebooked on a flight this evening that will get me home tomorrow.

Lewa a Drill Monkey with her 2 week old baby. The Drill Monkey is an endangered species from around the Nigeria/Cameroon regions and this was the first ever baby Drill Monkey born at Fota as part of a European endangered programme. I had to go black and white as they were inside in a fairly dark area and I took the shot through glass so the light was fairly bad.
