This is Rupert the lurcher. Rupert was handed into the pound and then rescued by Great Hounds in Need. He had been starved and tied up for the first 3 years of his life.
He is currently being fostered by Carole. Under her love and care I have seen him flourish from a bag of bones with swellings on all his joints due to rickets to a happy slightly chubby boy. I have seen him improve every single day.
It has never failed to amaze me how even though he has had such an awful life up until 3 months ago he is one of the happiest most loving dogs you could come across...He makes me smile very day when when I when I come into the salon. I am so happy for him and feel proud to be part of his transformation.

Photos taken of Dot the Westie owned by Carole of The Little Dog Laughed. Dot was diagnosed with cancer last May and Carole asked me to take some photos of her. I am happy to hear that she is doing much better! So happy as she is such a special dog!

I will try and get more photos up of the WCAWG dog walk soon... I my computer is experiencing great difficulties at the moment but fingers cross it will be ok!
But no matter what the days been like you can't be too sad when you see these two waiting to greet you when you get home (not a great quality photo as it was taken on my phone!)
Also thank you so much for helping me reach over 300 likes... We might have a competition soon!

Had an amazing day today at the West Cork Animal Welfare Group Annual Dog Walk. Over 2000 euro raised in a fun packed day! Thanks to everyone who attended and helped to make it such a success especially the dedicated staff and volunteers at WCAWG who work tirelessly all year to continue this very important work in the area... there's so much that goes on behind the scenes and I hope that when everyone comes together like this and you see all the happy healthy dogs you have helped over the years it makes all the early mornings, walks through the wind and rain and headaches from the constant barking worth while for the wagging tails and smiles. Keep it up!
