Nothing better on such a hot sunny day to cool you off than a bit of seabreeze and the wonderful company of the wonderful Common Dolphins. Happy days. One of the elusive Minke whales at Slea Head today.

Lovely afternoon on the water and for a change a flatcalm sea at Slea Head... Blue sky for hours than later an overcast again. The common dolphins were there fishing. Two minke whales showed up several times as well.

The sea is pretty wild lately... and it was when we went out. A big swell outside and simply choppy in the Blasket sound.. Where ever we went the sea was empty... no schools of fish anywhere, and you see no seabirds or dolphins there but there was some fish in the Sound and the Common Dolphins were there chasing their possible meals.... All in all a lovely trip on our Di**le Flamingle Explorer with Captain Rudi

Such a funny moment as two puffins looked in surprise as the rasorbill beside them.... He was not supposed to be there.. Soon there were 4 puffins watching him and a bit later a bunch of them held a gathering discussing the stranger in their midst...

Finally we got out chance for a first trip this year after the very long winter.. It was about time.... Of course it was great to see the Common Dolphins again. We also saw a handful of puffins as they have not really arrived yet. Fulmas and seagulls were nesting.. Great to be out in the blue again.
