Drogheda Photographic Club - Welcome to The New Season 3rd September 2026

Club Chairperson Gabriel Gabriel O’Shaughnessy FIPF, FRPS, MFIAP, EFIAP/d1, PFIAP, ESFIAP welcomed new and returning members to the new season which started on Thursday 8th September.

He outlined what the club offers members: Weekly Meetings, Studio Shoots, Photography Course, Processing Tuition, Critique Groups all encompassed in a great community spirit.

He also talked about the success of the club in the FIAP Wold Cup, IPF National Club Championships and the IPF National Shield, as well as many other individual achievements. He also complimented the club on the recent exhibition of prints in the AIB Bank Drogheda.

The input and contributions of all members were acknowledged as part of the energy of Drogheda Photographic Club, and that a major strength of the club is its continuous development of members skills and of their appreciation of photography.

There was an overview of the programme for the 26/27 season. The programme includes many external speakers, members evenings, internal competitions, practical evenings and of course the end of season celebrations

Additionally there was an overview of the Photographer of The Year Competition (POTY) which takes place over six rounds during the season with a grand final at the end of the season.

Also there was an overview of how to use the club’s Pixoroo competition software, which has been a huge success following its introduction last season.

Finally a showing of images from the 25/26 POTY competitions reminded everyone of the standard of photography at Drogheda Photographic Club.

Drogheda Photographic Club Exhibition 2026

Thursday 27th August 2026 marked the end of the 2026 Exhibition.
All at Drogheda Photographic Club wish to express their appreciation and thanks to AIB Drogheda County Louth for the use of their premises, and their fabulous cooperation with our exhibition. Drogheda Photographic Club also thank Louth County Council for their fantastic support for this event.

Model Shoot 22nd & 23rd August 2026 - Irina
Travelling Model Irina Ludosanu joined us at Drogheda Photographic Club's clubhouse 22nd & 23rd August 2026.
Members enjoyed the opportunity of participating in the sessions, bringing their individual flair and imagination with different outfits and props.
Irina is a fabulous model, very professional and hard working. It was a pleasure to shoot with her.
A big thank you to club/committee member Yvonne Crawley for sourcing such an excellent model and organising the shoot.

Drogheda Photographic Club Exhibition 2026 - Opening Night

The official opening of the Drogheda Photographic Club Exhibition took place Tuesday 18th August 6.30pm - 7.30pm.

The event at the AIB Bank Dyer Street Drogheda saw strong support from club members, guests, bank staff and local dignitaries.

The Mayor of Drogheda Declan Power welcomed everyone to the event and complimented the club on their outstanding work and contribution to the community.

The exhibition which includes work from a significant number of members, runs from Monday 17th August to Thursday 27th August, during bank opening hours.

Everyone is welcome to come along and view this superb collection of prints.

All at Drogheda Photographic Club wish to express their appreciation and thanks to AIB Drogheda County Louth for the use of their premises, and their fabulous cooperation with our exhibition. Drogheda Photographic Club also thank Louth County Council for their support for this event.

Drogheda Photographic Club's Exhibition opens Monday 17th August at AIB Bank Dyer Street Drogheda. The exhibition, which runs until the 27th August, features the work of members covering a wide range of topics.

Travelling Model - Tink joined us at Drogheda Photographic Club's clubhouse 2nd August 2026.
