Sneak Peek ✨

Beautiful Baby Gio was in the studio this week. 🤍

He gave me the best of both worlds — some gorgeous wide-awake shots where we got to see those lovely little eyes, and plenty of sleepy newborn goodness too.

I really love having a mix of awake and sleepy photographs in a newborn gallery. Those alert little expressions are every bit as special as the curled-up sleepy ones and capture so much of who they are at this tiny stage.

What a gorgeous little man. 🤍

This year marks over 15 years since I photographed my very first newborn.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of welcoming hundreds of tiny babies into my studio.

I’ve watched newborns grow into toddlers...

Then become big brothers and big sisters...

And then return with babies of their own joining the family.

It’s one of the greatest joys of my job.

Over the years I’ve learnt that every baby is different.

Some sleep from the moment they arrive.

Some like to keep a careful eye on everything I’m doing!

Some need lots of cuddles.

Some are happiest all wrapped up.

There isn’t one “perfect” baby for newborn photography.

There are simply perfect moments.

Fifteen years later, I still feel incredibly honoured every time parents choose me to capture such a special chapter in their lives.

Thank you to every family who has trusted me over the years.

I truly never take it for granted.

Beautiful Baby Cece and her gorgeous big brother Calvin. 🤍

Cece was such a little sweetheart to photograph, and it was so lovely capturing these two together. There’s something about a new baby arriving that suddenly makes the older sibling look absolutely enormous! 😂

And Calvin was very sweet with his new little sister — I think these two are going to make quite the pair as they grow up together.

If your baby is due this autumn, now is a lovely time to get your newborn session organised.

Many parents are surprised to hear that they don't need to wait until baby arrives to book.

In fact, most of my families reserve their session after their 20-week scan.

Autumn is always one of the busiest times of year for newborn photographers, so booking early helps ensure I can keep space available around your due date and accommodate you as smoothly as possible.

I'll make a note of your due date and keep space available around it.

When your little one arrives, we'll arrange the perfect day for your session.

Simple.

Flexible.

One less thing for you to think about once you're settling into life with your new baby.

One of the biggest worries parents have before their newborn session is...

"What if my baby won't sleep?"

The truth is...

They don't have to.

While sleepy photographs are beautiful, some of my favourite images are actually of babies who are wide awake.

Those bright eyes.

The little stretches.

The curious expressions.

They're all part of your baby's story.

Every session is completely baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling.

There's never any pressure.

Whether your little one sleeps for the whole session or decides they'd rather keep an eye on me, we'll create a gallery you'll treasure.

Not every newborn session begins with a sleepy baby.

Some little ones like to spend a while taking everything in first.

They stretch.

They yawn.

They watch me carefully.

And eventually...

Sleep wins.

One of the things I've learned over the past 15 years is that babies have their own timetable.

Rather than trying to rush them, I simply work at their pace.

It makes for a much calmer experience and allows me to capture beautiful, natural photographs that reflect your baby's unique personality.

Every baby is different.

Every session is different.

That's part of what makes this job so special.
