The ideal time to book your newborn session is after your 20-week scan. By booking during pregnancy, I can reserve space around your due date while keeping complete flexibility once baby arrives. No matter if baby arrives early, late or on time, we simply adjust the session date.

A little sneak peek from Jingcheng’s 100 Day Session 🤍

It feels like only yesterday that he was in the studio as a tiny two-week-old newborn, curled up and sleepy. Now look at him — full of personality, bright eyes, and the sweetest smiles ✨

Watching babies grow and welcoming families back for milestone sessions is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Seeing just how much Jingcheng has changed in such a short time was so lovely.

The 100 Day Celebration is a particularly significant milestone in Chinese culture. Traditionally known as the Hundred Days Celebration, it marks a baby’s first 100 days of life and is a joyful occasion where family and friends celebrate the baby’s health, strength, and the journey through those precious early months. It is a time to give thanks, share happiness, and look forward to the future.

I feel incredibly honoured to have been trusted to capture both of these important chapters for Jingcheng and his family 🤍

Before becoming parents, most people think newborn photographs are about capturing what their baby looked like.

But once your baby arrives, you realise they're actually about something much bigger.

They're about remembering.

The tiny fingers. The little yawns. The sleepy stretches. The way they curled naturally against your chest.

The newborn stage feels endless when you're living through the sleepless nights and endless feeds. Yet somehow it disappears faster than any other stage of childhood.

That's why so many of my clients tell me afterwards that they are grateful they made time for photographs during those early weeks.

One day you'll look back at these images and remember exactly how tiny they once were.

Some babies sleep for me within minutes...
Not because I'm lucky.
Because I've spent 15 years learning how to read them.

One of the questions I'm asked most often as a Newborn Photographer is: 'How do you get the babies so settled?'

The truth is that newborn photography isn't really about cameras.

It's about understanding babies.

Knowing when they need feeding. Knowing when they need a cuddle. Knowing when they simply need a little more time.

After photographing newborns for more than 15 years, I've learned that every baby is different. Some drift off to sleep within minutes. Others need a little reassurance before they're ready to relax.

That's why every session in my studio is completely baby-led. There is never any pressure to force poses or rush baby into something they're not comfortable with.

Instead, we work gently at their pace, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling.

Parents often arrive feeling nervous about how their baby will behave. They usually leave saying: 'That was far easier than I expected.'
