Louise & Gerard at Adare Manor 🤍

Not every wedding day comes with perfect weather.

Louise and Gerard were married in Holy Trinity Abbey Church before returning to Adare Manor for a winter celebration. Between passing showers and the kind of cold that settles into your hands, we found a few short windows to step outside. In total, these portraits probably took less than ten minutes.

Sometimes that’s all a wedding day gives you.

Those few quiet minutes became some of my favourite photographs from the day—two people completely wrapped up in each other, with the soft winter light doing the rest. They’re a reminder that beautiful wedding photographs aren’t made by perfect conditions, but by embracing the moments you’re given.

The rest of the day unfolded with the warmth of family and friends, beautifully planned by Olivia Buckley International & the team at Adare Manor, but it’s those fleeting moments between the showers that I still remember most.

Kate & Matthew travelled from the USA to celebrate with their closest family and friends at Castle Leslie Estate in Ireland.

With the summer sun putting on quite a show, we decided to leave most of their portraits together until later in the evening. It meant they could spend the afternoon exactly where they wanted to be — with the people they’d travelled so far to celebrate with — before slipping away for a few quiet moments together as the light softened over the estate.

Sometimes the best photographs come from working with the day, not against it.

A beautiful destination wedding at Castle Leslie, full of laughter, warm summer light, and two people who embraced every minute of it.

Genevieve & Liam’s wedding day at Parknasilla Resort, Kerry.

After a day spent exploring the Ring of Kerry, it was time to celebrate with the people who had travelled from near and far to be there.

Set against the beautiful surroundings of Parknasilla, they exchanged vows outdoors, embraced whatever the Irish weather had in store, and never stopped smiling. The rain came and went, but it never took anything away from the day. If anything, it became part of the story.

From heartfelt moments with family and friends to a dance floor that carried everyone well into the night, it was a day that felt joyful, relaxed, and completely true to them.

Ireland put on a show in its own way, and Genevieve & Liam embraced every minute of it.

A beautiful summer day, spent exactly as it should be — with their nearest and dearest, all in one place.

From the ceremony through to the celebrations that followed, everything unfolded with an easy kind of joy. No rushing, no fuss, just good people, plenty of laughter, and a dance floor that stayed full well into the night.

A wonderful day at Clonwilliam House for two people who made it all feel effortless.

Some places just feel a little magical, and Glendalough always seems to slow the world down in the best possible way.

A quiet moment by the stream, the Wicklow mountains as their backdrop, and one very easy “yes” from these two after travelling all the way from America to Ireland for the occasion.

Honestly, this is exactly why I love photographing proposals here — relaxed, emotional, beautiful scenery, and a story that already feels unforgettable before the wedding plans even begin.

Glendalough really does have a way of making moments feel timeless.
