Some places just feel a little magical, and Glendalough always seems to slow the world down in the best possible way.

A quiet moment by the stream, the Wicklow mountains as their backdrop, and one very easy “yes” from these two after travelling all the way from America to Ireland for the occasion.

Honestly, this is exactly why I love photographing proposals here — relaxed, emotional, beautiful scenery, and a story that already feels unforgettable before the wedding plans even begin.

The day was easy and straightforward. No big gestures, no need to over-direct anything. People moved naturally through the space and the moments came on their own.

Kilkea Castle didn’t need to be dressed up. The light, the stone, and the pace of the day did the work. Portraits were made in between what was already happening, not pulled away from it.
