I always say that the best photographs happen when children simply feel safe. 🤍

This little birthday boy wasn’t too sure about the photo session at first. A new place, a new person, a camera… it can all feel a little overwhelming.

So we slowed everything down.

We played together, laughed with Mum and Dad, and let him explore at his own pace. Within just a few minutes, everything changed.

The shy little boy turned into a happy, playful baby, and the studio was filled with laughter and genuine smiles.

These are the moments I love capturing most. Not forced poses, but real emotions, beautiful family connections, and memories that will only become more precious with time.

This newborn stage passes in a blink, which is why the first couple of weeks are so special for portraits like this.
I photograph newborns in my warm Dublin 15 studio with gentle, baby-led posing and over 15 years of experience working safely with little ones.

There is something so peaceful and timeless about newborn days… tiny features, delicate expressions and those fleeting moments that pass far too quickly. It was such a joy to capture beautiful Kiyana surrounded by soft spring tones and blossoms.
These first days are so precious, and preserving them is something families never regret 💛
If you are expecting and thinking about a newborn session, please keep in mind I am very busy at the moment and currently take bookings in advance only. Newborn portraits are best photographed within the first 5–14 days, so it is always worth reserving your due date early to secure a spot.
