🏳️‍⚧️ Seeking contributions from trans/gnc adults for a collaborative, digital counter-archive. 🏳️‍⚧️

Transcendent Archives aims to be a counter-archive of artwork inspired by positive trans and gender diverse memories.
This is a space where we can be prioritised, where our experiences can be protected and where our memories can be preserved.

The project will be acquired by UCD as well as installed, exhibited, and preserved in the UCD Art Collection.

We are so proud to announce that Mandalena is debuting her poetry collection "Art Forevermore" at the Dublin Art Book Fair this week at Temple Bar Gallery and Studios.

Come and visit the studio for the opening day this Thursday the 21st from 6-8pm!
Exhibition open until the 1st of December.

Introducing Saoirse!!

Saoirse is an Irish/Finnish multidisciplinary visual artist and photographer based in Dublin with a BA in Fine Art Media.

Her work often explores themes of femininity and identity through layered still and moving imagery with a strong sense of colour symbolism.

She likes to find beauty in the mundane and uses feminist literature, theories, classical and cultural symbolism to examine the world through a female lens and create striking images that invite the viewer to take a closer look and examine the different components of the image, be it a harmonious or dissonant combination.

Introducing Nikolas!!

Nikolas Bùi Rồng is a new media artist, graduated from the National College of Art and Design with a BA in Fine Art, Media, and Critical Cultures.

His work is inspired by his experiences as a trans person of colour and artists like Moreshin Allahyari and Danielle Braithwaite-Shirley. His interest in Philosophy makes his practice deeply research-driven. He often takes a multidisciplinary and experimental approach utilising mediums such as 2D/3D animation, gamification, sound, video, 3D printing, installation, AR, and VR.

His overarching goal with his practice is to investigate and archive gender transcendence.

Introducing Mandalena!!

Mandalena is a Cypriot transdisciplinary artist, writer and educator based in Dublin. Her art is intimate as she explores and reflects upon her lived experience and delves into themes of vulnerability, love and queerness. As the audience unpacks the work they come to the realization that in the pursuit of self love, inner peace and justice for all, one must navigate endless fields of confusion, frustration, and disappointment. Through self portraiture painting and photography executed in a contemporary aesthetic along with poetry and diary entries, she details this journey in hopes to create an honest and heartfelt connection with herself and the wider world.

Introducing Quique!!

Luis Enrique Martín is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist based in Dublin, holding a BA in Fine Art with a focus on Media from the National College of Art and Design. His work is inspired by the concept of biophilia—the innate human connection with nature—and explores the intersection of art, nature, and technology.
Through a range of mediums, including photography, video, and new technologies, Luis examines the dynamic roles of both humans and non-humans within this interconnected framework. His art often involves interactivity, inviting audiences to break the usual boundaries between viewer and artwork. By creating intimate and subtle experiences, he encourages visitors to reflect on the future of our shared environmental challenges and the interdependence of life on this planet.

Introducing our first member Cleide!!

Cleide is a socially engaged visual artist who graduated with a BA in Fine arts-media and an MA in Art and Social Action from NCAD. Her artistic journey is rooted in her research interests, which span a wide range of themes such as diversity, inclusion, language, identity, intersectionality, migration, and gender. Her work interrogates power dynamics and explores the sociocultural dimensions of belonging through different artistic forms, including performance, poetry and digital media;
Cleide explores individual and collective methods of socially engaged practice, activism, relational work, and collaboration. Her recent project focuses on connecting women through self-care, social consciousness and collaborative practices, emphasising the importance of the social values of care and love labour.
