Bull Rock is an islet off the western tip of the Beara Peninsula in Cork.
Bull Rock features prominently in Ancient Irish Mythology. Irish folklore refers to this sea tunnel as the place where the souls of the dead gathered before travelling to their final destination in the otherworld, or before being reincarnated. Bull Rock is said to resemble a dolmen or portal tomb as its natural tunnel allows the sea to pass under it, as if through a portal. This story ties into the belief that the souls of the dead departed westwards over the sea with the setting sun, go there in stormy conditions and you might find out for yourself whether its true or not 😜

Dún an Oir (Gold Fortress) Cape Clear, West Cork.
Cape Clear is the southernmost inhabited island in Ireland. This fortress was built by the O'Driscoll pirate clan in the 1300's.
Castle has amazing views of Fastnett rock, although you'll need to do a bit of free climbing to get out to it!
