Throwback to when I visited Auschwitz, this place left a mark on my soul β€οΈπ₯
i recently visited Auschwitz, in krakow Poland. This was one of the hardest experiences i have ever endured, however everyone needs to experience it on their lifetime to see just how much destruction man can cause, how much pain they can inflict on people, how much lives they disposed of as though they were not even real, real people, with real heart beats, of all ages and genders.
as we were shown around the camp not one person spoke, not one person used their phones, coughed, you could only hear the footsteps of the crowd, their heavy breathing and the heartbreaking words of the tour guide as she told us of the unbearable lives of the people in Auschwitz.
there was rooms, big open rooms full of different types of items belonging to the people who were in the camp. for example a room full of cups/bowls ect however these are only the ones found that hadn't been destroyed or sold, showing just how many peoples lives were stolen, one bowl per person, it was an unbearable sight. another room simply of hair, as the used to sell it to make rugs, a whole room of hair, my heart couldnt handle this room.
below are some of the photos i took, i tried to capture Auschwitz in a respectable manor to give you all an insight, however it will never compare to actually being over there, this feeling took over myself and my friends even on the drive up, gut renching, emptying, your body knows just how much evil occurred on that land, no flowers grow, no birds fly, may their souls rest in piece, and to the survivors i hope you all found some form of release and happiness.
