Little Miss Olivia made her first communion yesterday and I met up with the family after mass, in Harvey's Point for their photoshoot. I have photographed this lovely family quite a few times and it is always a pleasure working with them. Olivia, you looked stunning and I hope you had a very special day.

This aint Texas...

“Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing William & Kelli O’Donnell, who travelled from Texas to Donegal to reconnect with family roots that trace back four or five generations.

We began overlooking Donegal Town before visiting the Red Hugh O’Donnell monument by the bay, then explored the area around Donegal Castle — once the historic seat of the O’Donnell clan.

Along the way they picked up a locally written history of the O’Donnells from Four Masters Bookshop, and we captured a few special moments inside O’Donnell’s Pub as they immersed themselves in the story of their ancestors.

We finished the evening outside The Castle Bar with pints of the black stuff in hand and Donegal Castle standing behind them — a fitting final photograph to end a journey back to where the O’Donnell story began.

More than a photoshoot, this felt like documenting a family reconnecting with home.”

How handsome and dapper does Darragh look. He made his First Communion recently and then went to Harvey's Point for their family lunch. It was pouring outside but thankfully there are lots of beautiful indoor spaces to use in Harveys.
