Snow Patrol was one of the best concerts I’ve seen - which is saying something as I’ve been shooting gigs for 16 years!

From the moment they stepped on stage you could tell they were so excited and grateful to be there. Gary stood with his hand on his heart beaming at the crowd, visibly brimming with joy. The energy of the musicians was electric and Gary’s jokes and lightheartedness mixed with emotional vocals throughout the concert showed true professionalism.

They opened with 3 songs that I adore, it was an honour to be in the photo pit shooting as they played Take Back the City, Chocolate and Called Out in the Dark.

I experimented with some new in-camera double exposure techniques which is where all the blurred lines in these images come from, this was done in camera and not editing!

After shooting I got to enjoy the gig with fellow photographers. The first of many times that I cried was when they played Open Your Eyes. I’d forgotten how this song helped me through a particularly rough time. They also played The Lightning Strike which has been a super important song to me since I was a teenager. It’s a 15 minute long song (though they just played the first 5 mins) and I often listen to it as a meditation, concentrating on different parts of the song like the lyrics or drum beat. I was told they don’t play it live anymore so I couldn’t believe it when the opening notes rang out!

Chasing Cars, Crack the Shutters and Just Say Yes were all highlights of the show. I resonated with the last one in a way I never have before, seeing it as self love and allowing myself to say yes to opportunities (you’ll probably see me announce a pretty big life decision very soon so that’s what I’m referring to!).

Thank you and for having me, there’s no feeling like shooting some of your favourite artists and creating work you’re genuinely so proud of and excited about!

I was shortlisted for the National Geographic Traveller UK awards in the People’s Choice section with my drone photo from Antarctica!!! My photo’s included in an exhibition in King’s Cross in London, up until 12th July 😁

This means the absolute world to me, I’ve loved reading Nat Geo for so many years.

My dad happened to be in London today just after the exhibition went up and got me these photos!

Absolutely honoured to have been selected to exhibit my work at Photo Museum Ireland as part of the Taylor Wessing Irish Photo Prize. I’ve been going to see their UK prize exhibitions for over a decade so this means a huge amount to me! It was so overwhelming and incredible to have my photo on the wall of such an amazing gallery :)

The portrait I took is of the amazing , I love how defiant and confident he is in this!

Absolutely elated after securing tickets today to see in Dublin in November! The stars were aligned where I was only 2 in the queue of thousands, absolutely buzzing 😁

I’ve been listening to Noah for years (I swear I knew of him before he was cool) and really connect with his lyrics - he’s so open about mental health which has really helped me sit with my own feelings.

Swipe to see the iconic volcano hot dog biker 😂

As eruption #12 is happening on the Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland at the moment, I’ve been reflecting on the first eruption there in 2019. I was shooting both photo and video for Reuters news agency and they sent my images all over the world, it was such a thrill to see my photos on sites like BBC, CNN, The Guardian and on the front page of the New York Times!

Being close to an eruption is magical, as long as it’s a ‘tourist eruption’ and not harming any civilisation which then becomes heartbreaking.
