Communion season is officially in full swing this weekend… and for reasons still unknown, most of this side of the country has collectively agreed that Saturday the 16th of May is the day 😂

In a normal year, I’d have allocated dates for all parishes...
This year? Absolute chaos!

A few people unfortunately missed out (Please don't blame me)… Hopefully next year is different, assuming we don’t all pick the same date again!

That being said, I do still have a small number of slots left on the 16th.

Now before anyone comes in hot with “have you anything around 11:30?”…
No. No I do not. That time is gone since early this year and probably has a waiting list of its own.

What I do have:
• A few early morning slots (for the organised people among us)
• A good few slots available after 2pm (Get the pictures after the dinner!)
• Maybe get dressed up again the 17th and have a calmer, relaxed session in the studio (Make "Day 2" of a communion become a thing)

Everything is running back to back on the day, so there’s no wiggle room on times… but if you’re flexible, I’ll get you sorted.

Moral of the story:
Next year… we diversify. Spread the dates. Think outside the Communion box.

✨ A Most Jubilant Ode to the Glorious Life of the Self-Employed ✨

Oh, what a rarefied delight it is to be self-employed in this most benevolent of times! Truly, one floats through each day on a silken cloud of ease, buoyed endlessly by the unwavering embrace of governmental generosity.

Why, only this morning I awoke, refreshed and radiant, knowing that:
• My taxes are but a delicate trifle, scarcely worth mentioning, so light they practically pay themselves.
• Support schemes flow abundantly, like a fine vintage champagne, ensuring I never experience even a whisper of financial strain.
• Utility costs? Positively charming. One might even call them a modest contribution to the arts.
• Paperwork arrives pre-completed, tied neatly with a velvet ribbon, requiring nothing more than a languid signature.

And let us not overlook the government’s tireless devotion to small businesses—
a ceaseless symphony of support, grants, and thoughtful policies, each more generous than the last. One could scarcely imagine managing without such attentive stewardship.

Indeed, being self-employed is less a profession and more a luxurious sabbatical, punctuated only occasionally by mild, decorative inconveniences.
So today, on this most whimsical of occasions, I raise a glass (half full, naturally, as all things are) to the powers that be—
for without their boundless assistance, we might actually have something to complain about.

Yours in perpetual prosperity,
A blissfully supported small business owner 💅✨
