A quick shot from my phone whilst working on the camera edits, or more accurately procrastinating getting round to doing them. That see breeze and sunset though, does it get much better?

Ah Jungbusch, what a place. Can’t beat the sun going down along the river and tracks. Sad to leave Germany and jungbusch behind (hence the lack of posts recently).
Buuuut look forward to some shots from the U.K. and Ireland in the next few weeks 😁….. though there’s a huge backlog of shots during my last few weeks in mighty mighty Deutschland🇩🇪. Until next time Germany. It’s been amazing. 👏

🏍 How good is this beauty!!! 🏍 Unfortunately I didn’t bring my filters with me, which meant I was shooting a wide open aperture for that nice feeling of depth but that meant most of these shots were at around 1/8000. Too quick to get some nice smooth panning shots 📸. But still pretty sweet.
Massive thanks to Kay for the Harley riding experience. I’m now saving for a Harley, donations are very much welcome 😉.

Te Rerenga Wairua or Cape Reinga is the northern most tip of Aotearoa (New Zealand). The Maori believe that the spirits of those that have died recently leave the land through the pohutukawa tree (what a great name!!) which you can just see dwelling in the shadows here. That tree is over 800 YEARS old!
🌊 I remember being told about this place and you can almost see the divide between the Tasman sea and the Pacific Ocean.
What a beautiful place. I didn’t have much time that day as it was my birthday and full time the brim with activities. An amazing day!
📸 One day I promise I’ll make it back there and spend more time shooting not just here but NZ in general.
What a country!

Yeah nah yeah, a throw back to New Zealand. 🏔This was actually taken on Paddy’s day in 2017!!! I wouldn’t mind being back there and doing a lot more exploring right now.
Super basic set up here though, no tripod, no filters, just a basic canon 600d with the tokina 11-16mm, wide as!
I really want to head back to NZ with the knowledge, and creativity (and gear) I have now. I’d have sooooooo many amazing shots.
It’s back on the travel list I think.

4 YEARS!!! I can’t believe it’s been so long since I took this photo. It feels like it wasn’t so long ago I was trekking through the jungle and drinking water by the barrel load.
Anyways, this is a wild Sumatran orangutan, a young one swinging from tree to tree. Such curious animals, you could see him deciding how close he wanted to get and how far from his mother he wanted to stray. I was a good distance though, this was taken at 300mm with a little crop too.
These amazing animals are still suffering due to humans, habitat loss through palm oil plantations and deforestation plague the islands of Indonesia. Do a quick a google and educate yourself about palm oil, if we all reduce our consumption then there will be more lush forests for this beautiful little bastard to explore!
Right, lecture over kids. Have a good one!

Nothing like an early wake up call then an hour of walking to get to a flying approved zone! Though in all honesty it’s so much fun trying to photography from the skies, well worth the effort.
Would you be up at 5 to go fly? Let me know where you would go below 👇 Try and spot the dog walker too.
