Seeing is believing,
And today, guess what I saw?
A mermaid real, as real can be,
Just sitting out at shore.
I had to run my eyes I did,
And take a second look,
I'd only ever seen a mermaid
In a picture book.
I didn't want to frighten her,
So gaze on from afar.
But how I wished to say to her
How beautiful you are!

Who lives in this messy house?
I wonder....? Yes I do.
It must be little orphan boys...
I'm sure of it, aren't you?
Just look at all the dirty plates,
And crumbs upon the floor,
I've never seen such chaos
In somebody's home before.
I think I'll have a tidy up
It shouldn't take me long,
I always find at times like this,
It helps to sing a song.
So busy on, no time to waste,
When there's so much to do.
And when the house is s***k and span
I'll make a dumpling stew!

And straight into the tub.
Sand in every or***ce,
Get out the soap and scrub.
Soak until you're wrinkly, crinkly,
Rub-a- dub all over.
Rinse away the dirty water
Till you smell like clover .
Suds in eyes, a baby cries
And doggy makes a growl.
So out you pop, wet feet go slop
And snuggle in a towel.
