Peep behind the door
To see rehearsing ballerinas.
Shhhhhhh....don't let them know you're there,
Let's keep it just between us.
It's fascinating watching them,
And seeing what they do,
They're a total different species
Not at all like me and you.
Look at how the fix their shoes
And how they stretch their toes,
The practice to make sure that all
The effort never shows.
Their aiming for perfection,
The very best they can .
It would never do to be just good,
Or just an also- ran!

An itch and a twitch, I saw a real witch,
As I opened up the shutter.
Surly not? Have I lost the plot?
I couldn't help but stutter!
But I think you will find ,
That she looked rather kind,
And so I had no need to worry.
But nevertheless, to not cause distress
I bid her farewell in a hurry!

I wondered through a meadow,
To find the perfect spot.
A bumble bee came buzzing by
And made me feel quite hot!
I finally found a shady tree
And set up at my leisure,
To lake in all the loveliness
Was truly such a pleasure.
The tufted vetch, and clover,
The poppies, and cornflowers,
The pretty daisies here and there
I lost myself for hours.
Oh the joy of nature,
The gift of simple things.
It really makes you feel at peace,
With all the calm it brings.

I was born to be an painter,
Of this I am quite sure.
For long before I walked and talked,
I'm told that I could draw.
I scribbled on the wallpaper,
And on the leather chairs,
The talent just crept up on me
And caught me unawares.
I loved to squeeze the tubes of paint,
Burnt umber, Prussian blue,
I had my first commission
At the tender age of two.
I've exhibited in galleries,
Where critiques scrutinise,
And this year my ambition,
Is to win the Turner Prize.
Today I have the honour,
Of painting Master Ted,
I'm almost done, just one last thing,
Let's see.....Vermillion Red!

Up and away in a hot air balloon
To view the world up from above.
Waving to all those down below,
And sending them all our love.
What a great adventure, to travel the world,
We could end up in Timbuktu,
Just imagine all the places ,
We'll be passing through.
Around the world in eighty days,
It's unimaginable,
It's only now we're on our way,
The dreams believable.
So wish us luck, we'll soon be drifting over sunny Spain,
Where hopefully we'll dodge the rain
That's mainly in the plain!

Bluebells fill the woodlands,
In a sea of sapphire mist.
The touch of one so lightly,
Feels as though I'm being kissed.
My senses are awakened,
Every fibre of my being,
And even with my eyes closed,
From their perfume I am seeing.
Heaven is this moment ,
Softly, softly, my heart's beating,
All made so more precious,
For its time is only fleeting.
