Gareth Loughran Photography Astrophotography & Landscapes, Ambassador for NiSi Filters Ireland|Terrascape|f-stop Dia duit agus fáilte roimh. This is an ongoing challenge but one I love.

My name is Gareth Loughran and I am based on the coast in the West of Ireland. I first became interested on photography when Kodak came out with the first digital camera, it sparked a desire in me that has stayed true ever since. In the following years I have kept up-to-date with the changes in bodies, lenses and software. I am always learning and experimenting and use the knowledge to teach photo

graphy and workshops at all levels. I like and appreciate all styles of photography, but what excites me is Astrophotography / Seascape / Landscape photography predominantly. I love architectural and commercial photography. the feeling of oneness when confronted with nature is so inspiring. I try to bring this across in my images. I have been published in several Irish publications and take on commissions from private clients and organisations, I teach workshops to camera clubs, give talks and presentations also. Thank you for visiting my page, please visit my website and I hope you enjoy looking at my images. Go rabid maith agat.

Drifting under the core of the Milky Way while a lone meteor slices through the darkness — nights like this never feel real. Shot on an astro‑modified A7III from , pulling every last whisper of color from the heart of the galaxy.
Moments like this remind me why I stay out long after the world falls asleep. ✨

✨ Where the land meets the endless blue 🌊 — standing at the edge of Europe in Sagres, Portugal. The famous Cape St. Vincent Lighthouse watches over the wild Atlantic, a symbol of guidance and resilience through time. There’s something magical about the wind, waves, and light all converging here 💫

In Athlone for a Christmas party and popped into Golden Island Shopping Centre to check out Midlands Photography Club exhibition. Great work by all, some lovely landscapes and long exposures.👏👍

Looking forward to tonight's talk with Navan Camera Club where I shall be discussing getting into Astrophotography.

Today was a special one at Mondello Park, celebrating the incredible career and legacy of Eddie Jordan – a true icon in motorsport and a man who put Ireland firmly on the Formula 1 map. 🇮🇪🏁

It feels even more meaningful to me knowing that the very first Formula 1 car I ever photographed was one of Eddie’s, the Jordan 195.

Huge respect to Eddie for everything he’s given to motorsport and for inspiring generations of fans like myself. 🙌

Delighted to have not only seen my first Kingfisher but also to have been able to photograph it. An early start today (2:30am) what with the summer sunrise. Enjoyed the company of my good mate Graham Daly Photography.
