It’s hard to explain Three Castle Head to people until they make it down, and see Dunlough Castle first hand.

It’s right at the very edge of the world, it’s back against the sea. As one of the oldest fortifications in Ireland, it has stood the test of time, against the Atlantic and invaders since the 1200s.

If only the walls could speak, I wonder what they would tell us. What love stories lived here. What sadness wept here. Whatever the history, it’s tangible in the sounds of the sea, the dry mortar, the sea pinks and the stillness.

Connie Jane and Mícheál met in a chance encounter in the Jolly Rodger pub on Sherkin island many moons ago, and here we are all these years later, at their wedding. Two curious creatives, carving out a life together. It always blows my mind how people meet & connect. And how serendipitous life can be.

Huge shout out to Mags in the Eccles Hotel & Spa for making sure everything went to plan on the day. I’ve never seen a wedding coordinator go over and above like she did!

Lorna & Jake brought the perfect mix of laid-back fun, emotional moments and absolute chaos in the best possible way. From meeting at Sziget Festival in Budapest ten years ago to saying “I do” overlooking the sea at Dunmore House… honestly iconic behaviour.
