Statement!

Our aim at Wild Atlantic Waves Media is to capture the natural beauty of the landscape we call home. While in the course of our duties, we encounter concerns of privacy during our videography expeditions. Today was one of those days.
The individual was assured that we adhere to the strictest of GDPR compliance and that as a company in its infancy, we are fully licensed and insured to do what we do.

In light of this concern, which we take very seriously, we reviewd the footage and no incriminating footage was discovered. This process was documented and recorded, and will now be filed in a secure location.

As a mark of respect, and the fact that the footage was not useable, we deleted all footage and images captured during this shoot.

All our staff will always carry identificaiton, a copy of the privacy statement and its complaints process, a copy of the insurance, and proof of licensing.
A general statement of our work will be availible to anyone who wishes to view it further.

When we wmbarked on our strategic adventure to be a community media platform in 2023, it was purely to promote and join forces with, and support local businesses. Together, we have voice. Alone, we stand in silence. This is one of the venues we were looking to engage with. That was until ego and spite saw our vision robbed.

It is sad to see businesses closing.

Our focus in our own business has been diverted to other areas of interest.

Tralee publican Danny Leane has decided to step away from running the Klub Bar at the Kerins O’Rahilly’s GAA Club in Tralee when the lease expires on April 19.

The popular venue, which has long been a focal point for customers on that side of Tralee, will close under his management as rising costs and declining customer numbers made him decide not to renew the lease.

“It was a tough call. There’s fabulous people there and there was always great support from the club. I’m in the bar trade all my life and it is definitely not getting easier,” Danny told The Kerryman.
